HAVE YOUR SAY ON ROTHERCARE

Rothercare consultation

Rothercare provides a community alarm service to residents of Rotherham who are 18 years and older to help people live independently within their own homes.

The service also provides low level assistive technology equipment including fall detectors, clocks and medication dispensers, for example, that have been identified to support or maintain independence. There is no charge for this equipment.

Rothercare currently supports 6,900 customers throughout the borough.

During the last year Rothercare handled 325,275 wellbeing calls which is an average of 27,106 per month.

The service delivers an average of 614 visits each month in response to calls which needed the emergency assistance of a team member.

The service takes an average of 132 new referrals for Rothercare each month and 162 referrals for assistive technology equipment.

However, we want to do more to enable people to live their best lives, within local communities. Reviewing our support provided by Rothercare will help us to achieve this further.

We are therefore holding a public consultation from 15th August 2023 to 13th November 2023 and would really welcome your thoughts on the service and how it should change and grow in the future.

You can take part in the consultation online.
