Background

This Consultation Is Now Closed

Last year, the Council carried out a detailed consultation about a new hackney carriage and private hire licensing policy, which informed the new policy which was agreed by the Council’s Cabinet in March 2020.

Within the previous consultation, the licensed trade and some representative bodies raised a potential change to the policy in relation to vehicle licence plates. However, as the consultation did not specifically ask any questions about this to residents, the Council is now seeking views on this issue to understand whether this issue needs to be amended.
