We play a key role to support with the health and wellbeing of our employees as we recognise that this can have a positive impact on engagement and on productivity and effectiveness for the Council and the people we serve. We offer a Free 24-hour helpline for employees and their immediate family as well as reasonable adjustments for employees requiring support and to support our people to help achieve healthier and safer lifestyles both at work and home.
Generous Holiday Entitlement
Full time workers have a statutory right to 28 days paid holiday a year including bank holidays, the Council minimum entitlement, 33 days (including bank holidays and concessionary days), is 5 days higher. We are also there to support with circumstances where leave from work may help you maintain your work-life balance.
Benefit from Salary Sacrifice
As part of its reward package the Council offers a range of salary sacrifice schemes where employees can exchange a portion of their salary for some other form of non-cash benefit. For example lease of a brand new car, bicycles, and purchase of additional leave.
