Manvers to Wath cycle route

We are planning a high-quality, direct cycle route between the A633 Manvers Way and Wath town centre. This will allow residents and workers easy access between the key employment sites of Manvers and Wath-upon-Dearne, via Moor Road.

Improving provision for cycling will help us to:

  • reduce traffic congestion
  • improve air quality
  • enable people to have more active lifestyles
  • reduce reliance on private car travel
  • improve access to employment areas.

This scheme is to be delivered by Rotherham Council with money secured from the Department for Transport’s Transforming Cities Fund by South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority.

The work is due to take place in Spring 2022.

We want to ensure the delivery of the scheme meets the needs of local people and road users so we are seeking feedback on the proposed design. (We will not be able to consider proposals for fundamentally different routes or approaches as part of this consultation.)
