Information on all permanent exclusions should be reported to the Local Authority in order that data can be collected by the Department for Education.
As a reminder, as directed by the DfE (Department for Education), notifications must be sent without delay, this applies to ALL suspensions and permanent exclusions.
Could you also ensure that the PX form is completed accurately and submitted with a copy of the parent/carer letter, which can be uploaded.
It would be appreciated if when sending any correspondence that:
- the subject field accurately reflects the content of the parent/carer letter.
For any child who has a social worker or who is looked after by the Local Authority (LAC), all suspensions and permanent exclusion notifications must also be sent to the Social Worker and where applicable, the Virtual School Headteacher, in accordance with exclusion regulations.
