Following the publication of a Notice of Casual Vacancy on 4 April 2025, an election to fill the vacancy was requested.
As no candidates came forward at the previous elections to fill the vacancy, a new election for one seat in the Anston North Ward of Anston Parish Council will be held.

The Election Process
If there are more candidates than available seats, the election will be contested, and a poll will take place on Thursday 16 October 2025.
If there is one candidate for an election, they will automatically be elected.
If there are no candidate, a new election must be held within 35 working days of 16 October.
