
Sign up for this years Summer Reading Challenge from 5th July at Wath Library and Neighbourhood Hub
The event of the summer is on it’s way.
Are you up for the challenge, what do you say?
It’s summertime and here’s this year’s theme,
It’s Story Garden, come and join the team.
To read 6 books is all you need to do,
There will be fun and games with crafts and laughs too!
This event is suitable for children aged 5 to 11 years.
The aim is to read 6 books over the summer.
There will be weekly craft sessions:
Thursday 24th July 10-11 - Paint a Pot and seed planting
Thursday 31st July 10-11 - Rock painting and clay seed mosaic
Monday 4th August 2-3 - Build a bird house and decorate
Monday 11th August 2-3 - Make a windchime and suncatcher
Thursday 21st August 10-11 - Design and make a fairy door
Thursday 28th August 10-11 - Make a toadstool garden lantern
If you complete the challenge, you will be invited to a medal ceremony and reward trip to Magna Science Adventure Centre.
It is free to join and children can sign up anytime during the summer.
