Roots Street Carnival is back for 2026!
Get ready for an unforgettable day in the heart of Rotherham on Saturday 28 March 2026!
Step into the Pavilion of the Hopeful Sun, a giant interactive structure that will arrive at All Saints’ Square, created and produced by Wild Rumpus. The pavilion will host creative workshops where you can create your own carnival costume with Cabasa Arts using sustainable materials.
Bollywood Brass Band, Out of the Deep, Museum of Memorable Tree’s, Enchanted Woodlands and a pair of pigeons will be roaming the streets of Rotherham as we build up to the carnival parade at 3pm outside Rotherham Minster.
The Spirit of the North by Cabasa Arts will be at the heart of the parade. Featuring new silk artworks created by local groups, the puppet will celebrate Rotherham’s cultural & natural heritage, alongside community groups, dancers, banners, music and more!
This is more than an event, it’s a celebration of community, creativity, and culture.
Bring your friends, family, and dancing shoes – this is one street party you won’t want to miss!
