ArtWorks SY
ArtWorks SY is a not-for-profit creative arts organisation which supports nearly 100 artists with learning disabilities, autism or both across Rotherham and Sheffield. ArtWorks works to inspire its artists to achieve their creative potential and supports them to develop important life skills through workshops and placements.
Ryan is a Sheffield based artist born in 1985. Ryan has been making art all his life, having fond memories of drawing and painting from when he was little. He has a particular interest in transport, and specifically VW vans as he really enjoys designing the colours and patterns for the vans. Besides art, Ryan has an interest in music and enjoys attending football matches in his spare time.
Since 2021, Ryan has been attending ArtWorks SY where he has been supported to utilise his fine drawing skills to explore professional opportunities in graphic design. The commission from Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council to design buttons for the My Front Door website is Ryan's first paid commission.
