Support for Children, young people, and families

Health and wellbeing services

Rotherham Children’s Public Health Nursing Service (0–19)

  • Delivered by the Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust, this service includes health visiting and school nursing teams. It offers advice and support to promote healthy lifestyles for children, young people, families and carers.

Rotherham Family Hubs and Best Start in Life

  • Family Hubs support parents and carers to give children the best start in life. Services are available at Children’s Centres, Early Help sites and online, offering activities and sessions across Rotherham.

Vaccinations for Children – Start for Life (NHS)

  • Immunisations protect your child from serious diseases. Check the NHS vaccination schedule for children and young people.
  • For school-age immunisations (Years 7–13), contact IntraHealth by phone on 03333 583 397 (Option 6) or by email at contactimms@intrahealth.co.uk.

Mental health and emotional wellbeing

With Me in Mind

  • An NHS service supporting children and young people with their mental health in schools and colleges. The team works with school staff and other professionals to provide early help and access to specialist services.

Sleep Right, Wake Bright

  • Sleep is essential for children’s health and wellbeing. Rotherham Council’s Early Help team created a video with local children and young people to raise awareness about the importance of sleep.
