Eligibility and types of garages to let
Council garages are available to rent in the city. Depending on demand and availability there may be a waiting list.
As well as garages we also offer plot sites to rent.
Garage renting could help reduce:
- Your insurance premium
- Car damage
- On-street parking pollution
- Parking congestion
Eligibility
- You must have a clear council house rent account.
- If you are not a council tenant and you owe the council money, you will not be added to the waiting list until the debt is cleared in full.
Garage site
A garage is a brick-built building used for housing a motor vehicle or motorbikes.
Any repair issues will be dealt with by our repairs team.
Plot Site
A plot is a portion of land held in a single or joint ownership used to build your own garage. You will be responsible for the building of the structure, any repairs and maintenance and the removal of the structure when you terminate.
