The BookTrust & Bookstart
The BookTrust is the UK's largest reading charity, they reach millions of children every year with books, resources and support to get every child reading, regularly and by choice. The BookTrust runs the Bookstart programme with support from local councils and Libraries.
Bookstart gives a free book pack to every baby born in England, Northern Ireland and Wales.
It also offers further packs at key stages before school, as well as packs for children with additional needs, tips and guidance on reading together, resources, activities, and much more.
Bookstart aims to encourage a love of books, stories and rhymes in children from as young an age as possible.
