Intermediate tests
All licensed vehicles aged between five and seven years old on the date that the licence commences will require an additional test six months after the licence commences (meaning that the vehicle will have two tests per year).
Any licensed vehicle aged over seven years old on the date that the licence commences will require an additional test four months after the licence commences, followed by another one four months after that (meaning that the vehicle will have three tests per year).
These tests are known as intermediate tests and must be booked via your online account. You will receive an email approximately one month prior to the date that the intermediate test is due – this email will contain a link that will allow you to book your test. You may also book an intermediate test directly via your account (for example if you have deleted the reminder email).
