Support if you care for someone with dementia

If you are supporting someone close to you, you might not see yourself as being their ‘carer’ but rather their partner, family, or friend. There is help and support available to help you maintain your own health and wellbeing.

Find out what support is available for carers

You can also read the Alzheimer’s Society guide to caring for a person with dementia and the Alzheimer’s Society webpage on how to look after yourself as a carer.

If you care for someone with dementia, there is a wide variety of free training courses available to you to support you in your caring role.
