Planning for pets

There are organisations that can look after pets if their owner dies or is seriously ill.

  • Pet Peace of Mind | Who will care for my pets when I die? - Blue Cross
  • Home for Life scheme - to protect your pet's future - RSPCA
  • Cat Guardians | Cat care after you're gone - Cats Protection
  • Canine Care Card | Dog Care - Dogs Trust
  • Pet Profiling – The Cinnamon Trust

The Council has a duty to ensure pets are temporarily sheltered in the event that their owner is admitted to a hospital or to residential care, or passes away.
