Rotherham Council’s Chief Executive, Sharon Kemp OBE, has been named “Chief Executive of the Year” at the MJ Achievement Awards 2025.
The award recognises outstanding leadership and contribution to public service. Sharon received the honour as she officially steps down after 9 and a half years leading Rotherham Council.
This recognition marks a fitting end to her time at the Council, celebrating nearly a decade of dedication and impact.
Councillor Chris Read, Leader of Rotherham Council, said: "This is recognition of Sharon’s remarkable contribution to Rotherham. We wish her all the very best for the future."
The MJ Awards celebrate excellence in local government across the UK, and this national recognition marks a proud moment for both Sharon and the Council.
