Councillor Victoria Cusworth, Cabinet Member for Children and Young People at Rotherham Council, said: “Once again, our pupils have shown remarkable tenacity, determination, and a strong commitment to learning, with these positive results. Congratulations to all our young people as well as the teachers, parents, and everyone who has played a part in supporting students to achieve their best.

“GCSEs provide a vital academic foundation for young people across Rotherham, helping them to pursue their goals, whether that’s progressing to college, sixth form, or starting an apprenticeship.

“Our schools and colleges continue to support and inspire students to reach their full potential. I wish all the students collecting their results today the best for their future, whatever options and challenges they decided to take on.”

Across Rotherham and South Yorkshire, there is a wide range of options available after GCSEs, including A levels, T Levels, training centres, and apprenticeships.

Students wanting support, advice, and guidance on what to do next can find out more on the Rotherham Council website or through the National Careers Service.
