Rotherham Council is asking residents to help them identify people who have been caught on CCTV dumping waste across the borough.
As part of #GetRidReyt a number of videos are being released online and on social media this week featuring people tipping rubbish.
All of the cases have been investigated by officers but have proved inconclusive.
Rotherham Council’s Cabinet Member for Community Safety Cllr Emma Hoddinott said: “We want to make sure that people know that if they fly-tip in Rotherham they will get caught and they will get fined.
“The videos being released have been investigated by our officers, but they’ve hit a dead end with their enquiries. That’s why we want residents to help us and see if they can identify those responsible for tipping their waste at different sites across the borough.”
Anyone that recognises the dumpers in the videos is being asked to get in touch with the Council confidentially via email at GRR@rotherham.gov.uk quoting the relevant reference number.
