Rotherham Council's Events Team and Flux Rotherham are recruiting three freelance Community Producers to work with women and girls to develop a programme of talks, performances, and experiences.

The programme will be featured in Rotherham's first-ever Women of the World (WOW) Festival this summer.

Rotherham WOW Festival will inspire women and girls to share their stories, hopes and aspirations through a series of talks and performances. WOW Festivals, which take place all over the world, celebrate community, culture, and female entrepreneurialism. The Rotherham WOW Festival will take place after the town plays host to several UEFA Women’s Euros Football Tournament matches, after that, it'll become a bi-annual event.

Leanne Buchan, Head of Creative Programming and Engagement at Rotherham Council said: "This is a truly unique opportunity to be involved in a national and international female community that give women and girls hope, inspiration and confidence. We're dubbing it an 'afterparty' to Rotherham's Women's Euros games and I'm delighted that, in partnership with Flux Rotherham, we can offer an opportunity to leave a legacy for years to come."

The three freelance Community Producers will work within the Rotherham Council Events Team with creative mentoring support from the Flux Rotherham Team. They'll also gain on the job training and mentoring with the Women of the World team in London.
This role is only open to women who live in the Rotherham area. We are looking for women who have great knowledge of their communities and connections with other women and girls who might wish to be involved in some way.

No experience is necessary for this role. We want to use this opportunity to help three women from across Rotherham’s diverse communities to develop their talents, learn new skills and bring great experiences to the town along the way.
