Funding is available to support local community groups in Brinsworth

Carter

Community groups and organisations within the Brinsworth Ward are invited to bid into a Community Chest to help fund community projects in the local area.

Brinsworth Ward Councillors Adam and Charlotte Carter have allocated some of their Ward budget to be used as a Community Chest.

Applications must be aligned to the Brinsworth Ward priorities and fund activities, or services that support and tackle one or more of the priorities.

The Brinsworth Ward priorities are as follows:

  • Priority 1: A cleaner and greener Brinsworth
  • Priority 2: A safer Brinsworth
  • Priority 3: A community focused Brinsworth
  • Priority 4: A more active Brinsworth

Further information about the Brinsworth Ward priorities is included on the Rotherham Council website.

All projects submitted must be delivered and allocations spent by 31 March 2024.

The funding will be split into two categories.

Brinsworth Small Groups Grants

£100 to £500 per project will be allocated. This is revenue funding that can be used for the purpose of an organisation’s ongoing daily activities or services, e.g. general running costs, room hire, activity sessions, trips, or events.

Brinsworth Ward Capital Fund

This funding is for capital projects from £500 to £2,000 and can be used to purchase pieces of equipment and items of fixed assets (or improvements to them) that will be of use, or of benefit for more than one financial year, e.g. buildings, street furniture, fixtures and fittings, or computer equipment.

The deadline for applications is Friday 17 March 2023

The same application form can be used for both funding streams and the panel will decide which funding best fits your project.
