Memory Cafe success for Sitwell Ward

Memory cafe success for sitwell ward

One of the Sitwell Ward priorities is to work with partners to address social isolation and loneliness, especially in those people aged 65 and above.

Towards the end of 2022, Councillors agreed to provide funding towards a Memory Cafe at Herringthorpe United Reformed Church and we are pleased to report the project has been a great success and is still ongoing.

Reverend Matt Stone from the Church, said:

The Memory Lane Cafe is going really well, and we appreciate your support.

The Memory Lane Cafe is there to help support people with Dementia and their carers. It takes place on the last Wednesday of the month, from 1.30pm to 3.30pm. For more information, please contact Caroline on 01709 818705.

Working with you to help build communities that we can all take pride in is a priority for the Council. Find out about news and events in your area by signing up to receive 'News from your Neighbourhood' e-newsletters, by clicking here.
