Improving the local environment in the Sitwell Ward

Sitwell councillors and council officers

Last month, Councillors in Sitwell attended a site visit with officers from the Council's Maintenance and Street Cleansing team.

The purpose of the visit was to look at potential improvements at East Bawtry Road between Worry Goose Roundabout and Whiston Crossroads

Potential improvements that could take place in the area later this year include:

  • Cutting back grass hedges and verges
  • Cutting down and removing dead plants and shrubs
  • The potential planting of more bulbs

All of this work is ongoing and Sitwell councillors continue to work closely with the Council to help keep our local area clean and tidy.

This supports the Sitwell Ward priority around improving and protecting the environment.

Working with you to help build communities that we can all take pride in is a priority for the Council. Find out about news and events in your area by signing up to receive 'News from your Neighbourhood' e-newsletters, by clicking here.
