Joint Working Group
Rotherham Parish Council Joint Working Group is the principle consultative committee between Rotherham Council and Rotherham Parish Councils. The group was set up due to recognition of the benefit to both tiers of local government including:
- Having a Joint Working Agreement
- improving communications
- Training and development opportunities
The group meets on a quarterly basis and is made up of 8 elected Parish Councillors and 2 Clerks. The current members of the Joint Working Group are as follows:
- Councillor Victoria Cusworth, Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Neighbourhood Working – Chair of the Joint Working Group
- Councillor Andrew Bates, Wickersley Parish Council
- Councillor Clive Jepson, Anston Parish Council
- Councillor Dave Rowley, Ravenfield Parish Council
- Councillor Helena Bell, Thurcroft Parish Council
- Councillor Karen Jay, Ravenfield Parish Council
- Councillor Les Clarke, Dinnington St. John’s Town Council
- Councillor Mick Elliott, Aston-cum-Aughton Parish Council
- Councillor Sharon Biggins, Maltby Parish Council
- Kate Butler, Clerk at Aston-cum-Aughton Parish Council
- Joanne Holsey, Clerk at Dalton Parish Council.

Joint Working Agreement
This is a document that is shared with all Rotherham Parish Councils. This document sets out the relationship and expectations between Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council and Rotherham Parish Councils.

Network Meetings
Network Meetings are held quarterly and are open to all Parish Councillors and Clerks within Rotherham.
Parish Councils can submit topics of interest which are discussed at Joint Working Group meetings. Once approved speakers will be invited to attend a Network Meeting to present on a particular topic.
