Parking Patrol Data

Our Civil Enforcement Officers patrol the borough to ensure that vehicles are parked in compliance with the restrictions.

The Officers are responsible for patrolling on and off-street locations. The restrictions we enforce include but are not limited to:

  • School keep clear zig-zags
  • Single and double yellow lines
  • Designated disabled parking spaces
  • Pedestrian crossing zig-zags
  • Dropped footway access points
  • Clearways
  • Restricted bus stops
  • Pay and display parking
  • Time restricted bays

To be transparent and accountable to the public, we are now sharing our data on parking contraventions and penalty charge notices (PCNs) with the public.

This data includes information on the location and type of parking contravention, as well as the date it occurred.

By sharing this information, we hope it will help drivers comply with the parking rules and regulations. This should also help to ensure a safe environment for all users of our roads and parking facilities.

Our Civil Enforcement Officers perform a vital role in maintaining the orderly use of parking spaces in the borough. The Council is committed to being open and transparent by publishing the results of patrols.

Monthly Summaries

Besides sharing data on individual parking violations and PCNs, we also publish a monthly summary of parking enforcement activity.

This summary includes the total number of on-street PCNs and off-street PCNs issued each month, as well as the grand total of all PCNs.

This information can be helpful for those interested in understanding trends in parking enforcement in the borough.
