Car parking charges
Car parking charges apply 24 hours per day, every day at our parks - Clifton Park, Thrybergh Country Park, Ulley Country Park, and Rother Valley Country Park. Check individual parks for opening times, and on-site parking signs for parking charges.
Charges apply between Monday and Friday 8am and 6pm in all other Council car parks, except Wellgate Multi-Storey where charges apply form 7am until 7pm.
Visitors to Forge Island get free parking for a limited time when visiting Arc Cinema, Travelodge Rotherham Central and all other businesses on Forge Island. Customers who park for more than four hours must pay for any additional hours.
Charges apply from Monday to Friday, 8am until 6pm in all other Council car parks, except Wellgate Multi-Storey, where charges apply form 7am until 7pm.

When is Parking Free?
Forge Island Customers
Customers using the businesses on Forge Island can get up to four hours free parking. If you park for longer than four hours will need to pay for all additional time.
To obtain your free parking, you must enter your vehicle registration into one of the digital tablets that can be found at every business on Forge Island. Up to 30 minutes free parking is allowed for drop-offs.
Travelodge guests can park for free from 4pm on the day of arrival until 10am on the day of departure.

Rotherham Town Centre - Free parking Saturdays
Free parking is available on Saturday in Council-owned off-street car parks in Rotherham town centre. No ticket required. The normal maximum stay times still apply on Saturday. See listing below for the how long you are allowed to stay at each car park.

Parking is free in most Council owned off-street car parks and on-street parking bays across the borough on Bank Holidays and Sunday.
Charges still apply on Bank Holidays and Sunday for visitors to:

- Thrybergh County Park
- Ulley Country Park
- Rother Valley Country Park.
- Forge Island (customers must pay for additional time after first four hours free parking)
