Support for adults

Rotherham Alcohol and Drug Service (ROADS)

ROADS offers free, confidential support and treatment for adults affected by alcohol or drug use. Services include:

  • One-to-one and group sessions
  • Clinical support, including detox and access to residential rehabilitation
  • Outreach and harm reduction activities
  • Needle exchange and blood-borne virus testing
  • Support for people concerned about someone else’s substance use

Support for young people

Young people in Rotherham can access free, confidential advice and support around alcohol and drugs. Services include:

  • Help transitioning to adult services
  • Education and prevention work in schools
  • Community-based support across the borough

Specialist services include:

DrinkCoach

  • Online alcohol support with tools, tips, and free one-to-one coaching sessions
  • Visit DrinkCoach

Divert

  • Substance misuse support for young people aged up to 18
  • Learn more about Divert

Rotherham Recovery Community

  • Delivered by Voluntary Action Rotherham, this programme supports people in recovery through groups, activities, and peer support. It works alongside ROADS and supports those in recovery both within and outside of treatment services.
