Report a winter gritting issue

The Council works to make sure that roads are safe when icy conditions are expected.

There are 10 priority routes that we aim to treat before forecasted snow or ice arrives. Once traffic on these routes is flowing freely, gritters are sent across the borough.

Priority is given to clearing snow and ice from areas where people are most at risk, such as near schools, sheltered housing and busy areas.

We make every effort to respond to individual requests for help whilst treating the wider area.
