Highways: Apply for a permit to occupy the road in connection with building work

Introduction

Apply for a permit to occupy the road in connection with building work.

Which permit type do you require? (required)

Please note: If a hoarding permit is granted, permits for scaffolding, cherry pickers and skips are not needed as long as they are contained within the granted hoarding.

If your cherry picker is to be used on behalf of a works promoter such as Virgin Media or BT, your traffic management will need to be covered by a street works permit, please contact your works promoter to ensure the relevant permits are in place.

If your traffic signals are to be used on behalf of a works promoter such as Cadent Gas, BT or Yorkshire Water your traffic management will need to be covered by a street works permit, please contact your works promoter to ensure the relevant permits are in place.
