Maltby to Rotherham bus corridor consultation

Maltby to Rotherham bus corridor

road map between maltby and rotherham

Rotherham Council are proposing a package of priority bus improvements on the A.631 between Maltby and Rotherham to improve public transport journey times and reliability.

Three interventions are proposed, these are:

  • The construction of an additional bus lane between Addison Road, Maltby and Denby Way, Hellaby
  • An extension of the existing bus lane at Wickersley School towards the water works, as an additional lane, and
  • Changes to the bus stop at Brecks Crescent.

This work will be delivered by Rotherham Council with money secured from the Department for Transport’s Transforming Cities Fund by the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority.

We want to ensure the delivery of the scheme meets the needs of local people and so we are seeking feedback on the proposed design.

This document outlines the current proposals for the improvements so that Rotherham businesses, residents and motorists can learn more about the scheme and share general comments.
