The Homeless Prevention and Rough Sleeper Strategy is an action plan which aims to prevent homelessness and end rough sleeping in Rotherham and ensure people get the help and support they need. The current Strategy sets out the strategic vision for tackling homelessness and rough sleeping from 2023 to 2026. To ensure the priorities meet local need, a review of the Strategy is being completed.
The Council has been delivering against the commitments in its Strategy since 2023, focusing on six key aims including the work around homeless prevention, improving the quality of temporary accommodation, increasing access to affordable housing and ensuring people have access to support at the right time.

We are now refreshing the Strategy for 2026-2031 and need your input to shape it. This survey will help determine if the current priorities remain relevant and identify any additional homelessness issues to address. We want to capture a range of views from as many people as possible, including those who have faced homelessness, supported someone through it, or work in related services.
The consultation will run until the 25 August 2025
Your responses will be anonymous. Please do not use this survey to request information or action.
