As part of the ongoing redevelopment of Swinton, plans are underway to transform the public space in the heart of Swinton, around the Civic Hall and local shops. The aim is to create an attractive and functional space that reflects the community’s needs.
The proposed changes include:
- Replacing the paving around the Civic Hall and local shops
- Overall enhancement of public spaces to tackle Anti- Social Behaviour and improve the overall pedestrian experience
- Improved shop frontages
- New landscaped area including seating
- Under-5’s play area
- Improved pedestrian access between local shops and Station Street
