From 5:30pm on Wednesday 24 December 2024 Rotherham Council will be taking emergency telephone calls only.
Emergency services are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Normal services will resume at 8:30am on Friday 2 January 2026.

All of our services are available online including the ability to view your Housing rent account and make rent payments or raise a non-emergency repair.
You can also check your benefits and your Council Tax account and make payments, renew a library book, or download eBooks for free.

Emergency Help for Homeless
From Wednesday 24 December at 5pm to Friday 2 January at 8.30am, if you are homeless, or know someone who is, please contact us as soon as possible on 01709 336009.
Food Banks
Rotherham Council Food Banks will be closed over the Christmas and New Year period. Several voluntary organisations offer emergency food parcel provision and can be accessed through the usual referral agencies although be aware some of these may also be closed over the holiday period, please check the opening times with the local providers.
