Information you should be aware of when submitting a request
The Council has one month to respond to a request for personal information to be rectified from the date a verified request is received (i.e. application form and acceptable copies of identification).
Rotherham MBC may contact you upon receipt of your request in order to obtain further information to identify the records you are requesting to be amended. Where your requests relates to records which are incomplete then you have the right to provide us with additional information. This additional information will help to enable your request to be completed (for example, by providing an additional statement to be added to the record).
The authority may refuse the request if you do not provide us with satisfactory justification for the records to be amended.
