How to Vote
All registered electors in the neighbourhood plan area will be sent a poll card letter around 4 January 2024.
If you are not registered to vote, the deadline to register in time to vote in this referendum is 11:59pm on Tuesday 23 January 2024.
You can vote in one of the following ways:
- At the polling station
- By post
- By proxy – this is when you nominate somebody you trust to cast your vote for you, at your polling station

If you are voting at the polling station, you will need to show an acceptable form of photographic ID before you can be issued with a ballot paper. Visit our Voter ID page to find out about acceptable forms of photographic ID and how to apply for a free Voter Authority Certificate if you do not have any acceptable photographic ID.
