Key Referendum Dates
If you are not registered to vote, the deadline to be registered in time to vote in these elections is 11:59pm Tuesday 23 January 2024.
If you are not already a postal voter and wish to vote by post at this referendum, we must receive your application by 5pm on Wednesday 24 January 2024.
We must receive any amendments or cancel of existing postal or proxy vote by 5pm on Wednesday 24 January 2024.
If you wish to vote by proxy at this referendum, we must receive your application by 5pm, Wednesday 31 January 2024
Polling day is Thursday 8 February 2024 and polling stations will be open between 7am to 10pm.
Postal vote despatch dates
If you are an existing postal voter, or we receive your application to vote by post by Tuesday 9 January 2024, your postal vote will be despatched First Class Royal Mail on Thursday 18 January 2024.
If we receive your application to vote by post between Wednesday 10 January and 5pm on Wednesday 24 January 2024, we will aim to despatch your postal vote within three working days of receipt of your application.
