Registering anonymously

Anonymous registration is available if your safety or that or any other person in the same household will be at risk if your name or address is made public. As an anonymous elector your name and address will not be visible to anyone inspecting the register.

Anonymous registration is valid for one year at a time and then must be renewed.

To be eligible to register anonymously you will need to provide court documents or get your application supported and signed by a qualifying person, such as a senior Police Officer or Director of Social Services.

Applications to register anonymously can’t be completed online.

For more information about registering as an anonymous elector and to download an application form, visit the The Electoral Commission website. Alternatively, you can contact Election Services by email at electoral.services@rotherham.gov.uk or call 01709 823590.
