Our plan
We will aim to make council homes more environmentally friendly, warmer and cheaper to heat. We will aim to support private owners and renters to do the same.

What we are doing
- We offer the Community Energy Rotherham service to help everyone be more energy aware. Find out more about saving money on energy bills here.
- We are improving the energy efficiency of our council homes – currently the average (EPC) Energy Performance Certificate for our council homes is C and we are planning for all of our council homes to have an EPC C by 2030.
- We have installed insulation and improved window and doors in 130 council homes in Maltby.
- We are building new energy efficient council homes in East Herringthorpe.
- We are making sure local private landlords are aware of their duties under the Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards.
