Introduction
The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) statutory framework sets out requirements for all settings to provide:
- Quality and consistency
- A secure foundation
- Partnership working
- Equality of opportunity
The Early Years and Childcare Service provide support and challenge to assist in driving forward and securing the delivery of high quality and inclusive early years education and childcare to all children in Rotherham settings through a targeted approach.
Support is available to assist settings to fully meet the standards set out in the statutory framework of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
Quality provision contributes towards Rotherham Council’s overarching vision and supports the following key outcomes:
- Children and young people start school ready to learn for life.
- Children and young people are healthy and safe from harm.
