Why is this happening?

In 2009, a new law called the Autism Act was made.

This made sure adults with autism got the things they need in health and social care.

In 2014, the Government set out a plan of action called “Think Autism”. This told us what areas we need to work onto support people with autism. These are:

  • Training professionals in autism education.

  • Helping adults with autism into work.
