The Early Years and Childcare Service supports all early years providers to include all children and families into their provision; ensuring they provide an inclusive environment where everyone feels included, involved and valued.
This includes children who have identified Special Educational Needs and/or Disability, children where English is an additional language, children who are supported by the Local Authority Looked After Children’s Team and any vulnerable child.
Support is provided by:

- Delivering bespoke training packages to group and individual providers
- Coordinating training specific to individual children (including medical and manual handling)
- Offering a brokerage service to parents looking for childcare
- Arranging support visits to early years settings when needed
Helping settings to enable them to provide the most appropriate care and support for a child who may be going through a time in their life where they are moving into a more vulnerable situation. The support provided will be bespoke to each individual case.
