Family or friends unable to let you stay
Living with family or friends can be hard, which can end up with people being asked to leave the home. Having a planned move is always the best option, which is why it is important to contact us as soon as you are asked to leave, then we will have more time to plan a move.
We will work with you to prevent you from becoming homeless. We will need to understand your situation, including your finances and support needs.
If you approach us for help with housing, where appropriate we may try to find out:
- Why your family or friends are asking you to leave
- If there is a legal right for you to remain in that accommodation
- If you can stay in that home for longer by mediating with your friends or family
- If your family or friends can help you in any other way
