Get help with home adaptations

How we assess your needs

When we visit, we'll help you identify your needs as part of a complete assessment. We will look at how you are able to get in and out of your home and how you are managing to get around inside.

Following the assessment the Occupational Therapist may issue you some equipment such as a raised toilet seat, or recommend minor adaptations to your home such as grab rails, or hand rails. They may also recommend major adaptations such as ramped access, level access shower or a stair lift. We may also offer to rehouse you to another property that already meets your needs.

Please note that if you live in a Council property and the access height is over 600mm or the property is under-occupied, we will look into rehousing for you before considering major adaptations.
