Re-opening of Rotherham libraries

There are 15 libraries which are open to the public. These are:

  • Aston
  • Brinsworth
  • Dinnington
  • Greasbrough
  • Kimberworth
  • Kiveton Park
  • Maltby
  • Mowbray
  • Rawmarsh
  • Riverside
  • Swinton
  • Thorpe Hesley
  • Thurcroft
  • Wath
  • Wickersley.

Activities and events at Rotherham Libraries have now resumed. Restrictions apply, please contact your local library for more information.

Customers will be required to follow the guidelines set out below when visiting the library:

  • Customers are encouraged to wear a face covering at all times, unless you are aged 11 and under or have a medical exemption
  • Customers are encouraged to scan the track and trace QR code when entering the library
  • Use the public hand sanitiser points at the entrance
  • Observe the social distancing measures whilst queuing and browsing the library
  • Follow the one way system within the library

The following services will be available from library buildings open for public access:

  • Return and issuing of books. Please use the self-service library units for issuing loans where these are available
  • Public Computers
  • Public toilets
  • Printing and photocopying facilities
  • Newspapers/magazines – please contact individual sites for information
  • One to one digital support
  • Seating and table areas

The following services continue to be suspended:

  • Payment Kiosks for Council services
