Apply for a dropped kerb on a private or council owned property
Before you apply
If you live in a council-owned property you must provide:
- a copy of the letter titled Conditional approval, showing council approval for a hard standing or driveway
If you live in a privately owned property you must provide:
- an approval reference number to show you have planning permission, if your property is on a classified A, B or C road
If you're not sure whether your road is classified, check using Find My Address.
Using your own contractor
If you choose a contractor who is not listed in the form, you must provide:
- copies of the contractor’s Street Works Qualification Register (SWQR) cards for both the operative and the supervisor
- the contractor’s name, address, phone number and email address
- proof of the contractor’s public liability insurance, with cover of at least £5 million
