Traffic signal permits

Please be aware that only a company may apply for a traffic signal permit and not a resident.

A fee is payable per traffic signal permit. The charges as of the 1st April 2025 are:

  • Traffic signals - £225.00 for the first street plus £50 for each additional street.

If your traffic signals are to be used on behalf of a works promoter such as Cadent Gas, BT or Yorkshire Water your traffic management will need to be covered by a street works permit, please contact your works promoter to ensure the relevant permits are in place.
