Location of private sewers
Neither the Council nor the water companies hold records of the location of private sewers or drains. If the property is newly built then the developer may have records of the location of the sewers on that development.
If information is not available, then a drainage survey would need to be undertaken to locate the sewers. Contractors who undertake this type of work can be found via the Internet.
