Homelessness

If you are living in armed forces accommodation or are still serving, then you can get specialist advice from the MOD’s housing advice service on referrals and your housing options. If you are going to be homeless when you leave your accommodation and stop serving, then they have got a duty to refer you to your local authority of choice.

If you are a former member of the armed forces and are now threatened with homelessness, then it is best to contact our team as soon as possible, so we can look at your circumstances and provide you with advice and assistance.

You could be considered for a priority need for accommodation because you are a former member of the armed forces.

We've signed up to the Armed Forces Covenant, making a commitment to supporting the armed forces community in Rotherham.

The armed forces community includes people who serve, or have served, in the armed forces, as well as reservists. It also includes people who care for, depend on, or are close family members of these groups of people.
