Insolvency

If a liability order is obtained against either an individual or company we can consider:

  • commencing bankruptcy proceedings against an individual if the total owed is £5000.00 or more
  • commencing winding up proceedings against a company if the total owed is £750.00 or more

To do this the council refer cases to a suitable solicitor, who has authority to deal with insolvency matters on behalf of the council.
