Household waste recycling centers (HWRC's)
It is a criminal offence under the Environmental Protection Act 1990 for businesses to dispose of their waste free at household waste sites. Rotherham Borough council does not permit businesses or non-domestic waste onto any of its four Household Waste Recycling Centres. They are exclusively for the use of Rotherham residents and as such there are measures in place to protect this policy and restrict access.
