If you produce Commercial or Industrial Waste, you have legal obligations to manage and dispose of that waste in a responsible manner. The primary piece of legislation relating to management of waste is the “Environmental Protection Act 1990” Part II of that Act and more specifically s.33 [Prohibition on unauthorised or harmful deposit, treatment, or disposal etc. of waste] and s.34 [Duty of care etc. as respects waste].
